The Minnesota College Athletic Conference recently released
their 2016 all Division teams and DCB was well represented on the West Division
team.
Making the first team were Jacob Clair, Trent Postma, and
James Newman
Jacob Clair, a sophomore transfer this year, caught 47
footballs for 1014 yards (21.6 yard average!) and scored 14 TD’s this year for
the Lumberjacks. He is from Louisville, Kentucky
Trent Posta, a freshman from Lynden, Washington, had 74
tackles, 5 sacks, and 11 Tackles for loss this year. He also intercepted
a pass against North Dakota Science that led to the game winning field goal to
give the Lumberjacks back the “Lumbercat” trophy in their regular season
meeting/
James Newman, a freshman from Loyola HS in Detroit,
Michigan, was the Lumberjacks’ most consistent Offensive Lineman and leader of
the offensive line.
Named second team all MCAC Western Division were Defensive
Back John Jones, Defensive End Nik Madourie, Defensive Back Xavier Sheppard,
Running Back Art Nelson, and Punter Ty Ham
Honorable mention selections were Offensive Lineman Tyler
Manuel, Defensive Lineman Keishawn Hayden, Linebacker Elijah MacMillon,
Defensive Lineman Michael Stuhldreer, and Quarterback Ja’Vonte Johnson.
